Stainless Steel
304 vs 316 Grade
Simply put 316 grade is the improved version of 304. Whilst appearing exactly the same, the improved material has a slightly higher nickle percentage as well as an added element known as molybdenum. This added component helps create a resistance to corrosion brought on by sea water and other natural elements. 316 stainless steel is generally more expensive, but can save you money in the long run due to its added durability and resistance features.
304 stainless steel is available for the majority of our product range, and is the most commonly used stainless material. As the most versatile and widely used grade, we provide a broad range of products, forms and finishes in 304 grade.
